Sand & Gravel

We had an exciting day in the nursery today when our sand and gravel delivery arrived! We have made a new gravel pit and refilled the sandpit using some of the money we raised from Daily Mile.

We had to flatten all the stones in the gravel pit as they were tipped in by the digger in one big heep!

We got a huge big bag of sand and were all very busy helping transfer it into the sandpit, it was such hard work.

Trip to see the poppies

We are so proud of all the children who came along with us to see the poppies on Tuesday.  They all walked to and from the poppies superbly and we had great fun at the park.  A big thank you to all of our helpers on the day, we couldn't have done our trip without all of your help.

We learned a little bit about how the poppies were made whilst we were there and are going to have a go at making our own ones in school.  It was really hard trying to guess how many poppies were there altogether - we agree that 4200 was a very big number! We will be learning a little more about the significance of the poppies over the next week at nursery.
We had good weather all day which allowed us to have  a peedie picnic at the park in between playing on the equipment and with the bubbles.

Keep a look out for our poppy display in the next few weeks.

Sponsored Daily Mile - 9th-13th May

CONGRATULATIONS

The bairns have completed their Sponsored Daily Mile!!!

We have been so lucky to have had such right bonny weather for our sponsored walks around the Peedie Sea paths.

The bairns have done super well, walking more than a mile a day between them every day this week. I am pretty sure that some of the nursery staff will have tired out legs this weekend too!

There are lots of photos of all the trips around in the parent waiting area for you to have a look at and see who you can spot.

A Big thank you to all the parents who have joined us, the bairns were so excited and pleased to have you with us for parts of their session.

We also thank again our buddies in class 4/5 who have been so good at looking after us and chatting to us as we practiced  and during the sponsored week.

If you have managed to get some sponsors it would be great if you could return the forms and any money collected as soon as you can.  We would ask that the sponsor forms are returned no later than Friday 27th May in order that the school office team can make the necessary arrangements to bank the funds.

Thank you very much to all those who have returned their forms already you have done a super job getting all your sponsors :-)

We will let you know the total amount raised as soon as we can after 27th May.
