It has been a busy few weeks in the nursery which we have mainly spent playing outside in the beautiful weather we have been having. There has been a lot of play in the outdoor kitchen with the children setting up their own outdoor ice cream café.
We had a go at making our own ice-cream in the nursery. We tried Banana flavour and Raspberry flavour.
Den building has been popular both in and outside of nursery for the past few weeks. We have had to think about what materials to use to create the structures we were picturing. Some had floors, some had roofs, some had walls.
We even created our own campfire to keep us cosy outside.
We have been noticing the signs of Spring around us and some of the children decided to create a spring tree inside the nursery. If you get a chance come and have a look at the children's creation - especially their 3D nests.
We discovered worms in our muddy pit and have been investigating them this week.
We hooked the swing up and have been risk assessing how to keep ourselves safe on it and around it.
Here is just a snapshot of some of the other activities we have been doing whilst outside. We have had a lot of fun and are looking forward to more of this lovely weather after the holidays.
