Daisy the Cow

We have had Daisy the Cow in nursery this week. We have been finding out about where milk comes from and what we can use it for. We have been milking Daisy which was hard work.
 
We have also been finding out that you make ice-cream from milk and cream. Crantit Dairy very kindly gave us pictures and information about how they make their ice-cream. We also got some ice-cream from them to eat for our snack, mmm! as one pupil said 'the ice-cream was delicious'.

    It looks like you had fun milking the cow after did you drink the milk ?

    We had lots of fun milking the cow Keira. We didn't drink the milk from the cow as it wasn't real milk. We did have some milk from Crantit for our snack though. Did you see the cow around the school?
