Stormy Orkney Weather

The weather has been pretty awful at times this week. This did not stop some of our determined peedie nursery children! A few of them braved the conditions and had lots of fun playing in the massive puddles that have formed in the playground and Nursery Garden. On Thursday we were even lucky enough to spot a rainbow in the sky too!

Babies - Health Visitor 11.12.14

A few of us have new babies in our families and over the past few weeks we have been playing and having lots of fun in our baby clinic in the nursery. There are lots of bonnie baby photos on our clinic notice board - Have a look next time you are in and see if you can guess who is who?!

The Health Visitor came to nursery on Thursday to talk to us about looking after babies.

She took in baby "George" with her and told us all about how to look after him. We helped Gudula bath and change baby's nappy.

Some of us had a turn at holding him we had to be careful to remember to support his head.

We asked lots of questions and Gudula answered them all. We now know lots and lots about looking after peedie babies.

Christmas Dinner - Wednesday 10th December

Our full day bairns had Christmas Dinner in nursery this week. They had turkey with all the trimmings and a trifle for pudding.

Some of the children have been busy decorating baubles, angels and trees which we are using to decorate the parent waiting area.

Well Done to all who have brought them back to hang up - What a super job you are doing!
